Editorial Policy
Our goal is to help readers ask better questions, compare equivalent policy features, and verify material details before acting.
Accuracy standards
- Material insurance rules, tax points, securities issues, and consumer procedures should link to a regulator, government agency, policy document, or other primary source.
- We separate guarantees from illustrations, estimates, and non-guaranteed values.
- We do not invent premiums, rankings, approval rates, reviews, credentials, or customer outcomes.
- When a fact depends on policy language or state law, we tell readers what to verify.
Comparison standards
- Quotes must use the same death benefit, term, tobacco status, payment mode, and underwriting basis.
- Policy types are compared by use case, guarantees, cost structure, risk, access to value, and exit consequences.
- Advertising or compensation does not determine an editorial conclusion.
- We do not call one policy “best” without a defined, supportable method.
Updates and corrections
We revise pages when source material, product categories, regulator links, or reader-reported errors change. A visible update date means the page was materially reviewed or changed on that date.
Send a correction with the URL, disputed statement, and supporting source through the contact page. We review evidence and make a clear correction when warranted.
Editorial limits
Life Quote Atlas does not provide individual underwriting, legal, tax, investment, or financial advice. Policy contracts, insurer decisions, and licensed professionals remain the authoritative sources for an individual transaction.
For detailed comparison rules, see our Comparison Methodology.
